Hurl Rock
Conjure a boulder as a projectile, obstacle, or permanent foundation
Hurl Rock conjures a mass of stone and either drives it across the battlefield or leaves it where it appears. A modest casting produces a boulder; its greatest versions can drop a permanent piece of terrain into the world.
Hurling the Rock
The caster chooses a path ending within Close range. The rock travels along that path, and every creature or object crossed by its full size can be struck once. A sufficiently large rock can therefore hit several creatures standing beside one another or along its course. Each target takes the listed physical damage, reduced normally by DR.
A creature that can move clear may spend a dedicated dodge and make a Reflex duel against the caster. On a win, it escapes the rock's path and takes no damage. The GM decides whether the duel is possible by comparing the distance the rock travels with its speed and the target's own speed. A massive rock released from too close may strike before the target has any realistic chance to react, requiring no Reflex duel.
The rock is a real object while moving. A Barrier, sufficiently powerful attack or suitable obstruction can break or stop it before impact. If it survives, it comes to rest at the end of its path and remains for the duration in the table.
Placing the Rock
The caster may place the stone without hurling it. This deals no damage and allows precise placement within Close range. One rock can become cover, close a passage or brace a structure; repeated castings can build walls, roads and foundations.
The stone has the listed hardness and HP. It remains magical and can be dispelled, including when its duration is permanent.
