Fly

Take to the sky

Available Levels
2357910

Fly grants unrestricted movement through the air. A creature can rise, descend, turn, hover, and move in any direction using the Fly Speed in the table. It controls its own movement and requires no concentration from the caster. An unwilling creature may be targeted but negates the spell with a Will Save.

Flying Objects

An unattended object, or one released by its holder, can also fly. The caster may give it a fixed destination when casting; it travels there without further attention and hovers when it arrives. An object given no destination must be directed through concentration, using one spell token per round under the normal concentration rules.

A flying object has no senses and cannot attack or perform precise manipulation. The spell gives it movement, not damaging momentum: ordinary travel or collision deals no magical damage.

Alchemical Formula

With the proper ingredients, an Alchemist can prepare Fly as a Level 2 Alchemy spell. It spends a Level 2 Alchemy slot and otherwise uses the Level 3 row. Other paths first gain access at Level 3.
