Spell Conduit

Channels the master's magic through a summoned creature

Casting Through the Summon

The caster may channel a spell through a creature created by Summon. Range, line of effect, and the spell's point of origin are measured from the summon. The caster still spends the spell slot and actions, performs every normal component, and provides the spell's caster level, damage, and DC. The summon spends no action.

When a Reflex contest determines whether the spell is released before an opposing action, use the summon’s Reflex instead of the caster's. Apply the value in its template, including any increase or reduction relative to the caster's Spell DC. This can be an advantage or a disadvantage.

The communication link must remain intact throughout the casting. If the summon disappears or the link is broken before the spell resolves, the spell is lost.

Shared Reserve

A creature created with Summon Level 8 or higher can draw from its master's spell slots to cast a spell found in its own template. The summon spends the spell's actions and performs its components. It uses the caster level, damage, DC, and other values granted by its template; the master provides only a spell slot of the spell's level. Drawing the slot requires no action from the master.

The shared reserve grants fuel, not knowledge. The summon cannot cast the master's spells unless they also appear in its own template. A red slot can fuel a blue or otherwise innate spell through this connection: the conduit converts the mana but grants no new magical ability.

Summon level used Range of the shared reserve
8 Close—30 ft + 5 ft per CL
10 Anywhere the communication link functions, including across planes

All of the caster's summons may be connected, but only one spell slot can be drawn from the shared reserve during a tick. Once one summon draws a slot, no other summon can do so until the next tick. This limit does not prevent the caster from spending their own slots normally.
