Undead Resurrection
Bring a person back in an undead body, with their mind intact and frozen
Undead Resurrection returns a dead person in an undead body. The corpse can be of any age, and the necromancer gains no control over the subject.
The spell works once on a given body. Previous uses of Raise Undead, Faint Current, or Ask the Dead do not prevent it.
The subject becomes an undead that keeps its mind (see 3): their mental statistics, memories, abilities, and Will Save remain, but their mental statistics are fixed forever. They can still gain memories and knowledge.
The body produces no red mana. A mage loses their mana and cannot cast, though they retain their caster level and learned formulas. A necromancer who wants to preserve their magic instead becomes a lich. The undead body is generally stronger and better armored, but creatures dependent on Constitution may lose HP or other powers.
