Soul Odyssey

Grants a second life whose experience returns to strengthen the caster's soul

Available Levels
10

Soul Odyssey gives the caster a temporary second life, detached from their original identity. When that life ends, its memories and growth return to strengthen the caster's soul.

The caster becomes a new being without their magic or original memories. Before casting, they can define basic circumstances such as birthplace, bodily age, ancestry, gender, body type, and fundamental traits. This new existence lasts until that body dies.

A subtle connection remains. Dreams and intense déjà vu reveal occasional flashes of the former life, and intuition survives in old areas of expertise without granting specific knowledge.

The original body remains vulnerable and must be protected. If it is destroyed, the old self immediately merges into the new one and awakens in that body. If the new body dies, its self returns to the original after one year. Death from natural causes removes this one-year delay. Deactivating or dispelling Soul Odyssey during the delay also ends it immediately and returns the second self to the original body.

The reunion adds Charisma, Wisdom, skills, and a lifetime of perspective. Only beneficial traits and skills from the second life remain, preserving the caster's fundamental nature.
