Shroud
Silence and invisibility are not enough; everything must be concealed
Shroud erases an entire company from the world's attention. Choose up to one willing creature per caster level within Close range. The targets perceive one another normally, but the spell conceals their sight, sound, scent, magical auras, and the traces they leave behind.
Complete Concealment
Against ordinary senses, each target follows the complete rules of Invisibility Level 6. An observer who succeeds on the Will Save perceives that target normally for the rest of the casting.
Shroud continually covers tracks, blood, opened doors, displaced objects, lingering smells, and similar evidence created by its targets. The evidence remains physically real beneath the illusion, and direct interaction can grant a Will Save or reveal it when deception is no longer possible. Every concealed trace becomes apparent when Shroud ends.
Magical Observation
Shroud also conceals its targets and their active magic from Detect Magic, Magic Sensor, magical alarms, and similar magical detection. The observing effect must first win a DC check against Shroud; on a failure, it receives no sign that the target or concealed magic is present. On a success, it resolves normally.
A Scrying view is an observer rather than a magical detection effect. Its caster makes the ordinary Will Save against Shroud through the view; Shroud imposes no additional DC check against Scrying.
The spell deceives observation rather than physical mechanisms. A magical alarm searching for a creature or aura must overcome Shroud, but a pressure plate still moves beneath the target's weight.
Breaking the Shroud
An offensive action resolves while its target is still concealed, then reveals that target to everyone until the beginning of the next round. The target then fades back into Shroud, except against observers that have already perceived it. Revealing one target does not reveal the others or their traces.
