I Take for My Master

Tears mana from a wounded enemy and offers it to the Partage

Available Levels
6

The Cleric casts a drop of consecrated water into an open wound. It mingles with the blood, enters the target's body, and begins drawing out mana. A thin stream hangs between wound and Cleric before vanishing into the Partage with its harvest.

When the spell is cast, the target chooses a Fortitude Check or Will Check against its DC. Success prevents the water from taking hold. Failure establishes the link.

At the end of each tick of channeling, the water steals one unused spell slot, always taking the highest available level. If several magical reserves offer slots of that level, the target chooses which reserve loses one. The stolen slot counts as spent and returns through the target's normal recovery.

This draining does not alter known or active spells, and caster level remains intact while the target has a slot left to give. The spell ends when no unused spell slot remains. Creatures that use magic without spell slots cannot be affected.

Draining the target completely. If the link survives until the final slot is taken, the Partage claims everything: the target also loses its caster level for 24 hours. This is the only way the spell can match what the Partage ritual takes at once.

After each theft, the target repeats the resistance chosen when the spell was cast. Success expels the water and breaks the link. The spell also ends if the Cleric stops channeling, the distance exceeds 30 ft, a watertight Barrier cuts the stream, or the wound becomes inaccessible to water. Healing, fully covering the wound, or sealing it beneath watertight armor is enough.

The extracted mana belongs to the Partage. It restores no Cleric slot and cannot be redirected through Transfert. The spell can steal one slot each tick until the link breaks or the target is empty. Unlike the Partage ritual, which takes every slot and the source's caster level at once, this battlefield version tears them away one by one.
