Abjuration
Remove Poison
Neutralize a toxin in a body, meal, or weapon
Available Levels
135
Remove Poison neutralizes toxic substances in a creature, liquid, food, weapon, or object. The caster rolls 1d20 + CL + 5 against the poison's natural DC. If Poison enhanced the toxin, its alchemist instead defends it with 1d20 + CL or 10 + CL, at their choice, as with Dispel Magic. On a success, the spell removes both the magical enhancement and the physical substance.
The spell ends progressive effects but does not restore lost HP or attributes unless the poison's description says otherwise.
| Level | Effect |
|---|---|
| 1 | Neutralizes one identified poison on a creature or object. |
| 3 | Neutralizes every known or detected poison on the target. |
| 5 | As level 3; the target also becomes immune to new exposures for 1 hour per CL. |
The caster does not need to know a poison's name if Detect Poison revealed it. Without identification, level 1 can target only one suspected poison and fails if the caster chose incorrectly.
