Suffocating Spores
A gray cloud, a severed breath, then silence
These spores come from a gray fungus found in the warm caverns of the Underdark. They are collected through a damp mask, then dried in a glass ampoule. Throwing the ampoule as an alchemical projectile is a general action of 1 tick. It bursts at a point within 30 ft and creates a cloud with a 10 ft radius until the end of the tick. A mature colony provides two ampoules.

A creature that breathes in the cloud and fails becomes nauseated for one turn. Its throat closes, preventing speech and verbal components for the duration. Holding one's breath before exposure provides complete protection, but only if the creature noticed the ampoule before it burst.
Wind immediately disperses the cloud. Creatures that do not breathe are immune.
Antidote. A hot infusion of the same fungus, harvested before maturity, clears the airways.
