Coherent Story

Hides the real mind among convincing false ones

Available Levels
7

Coherent Story surrounds a creature's mind with false versions of itself. Each illusion carries plausible thoughts, emotions, and mental states, giving an enemy several convincing minds to attack.

When casting, roll 1d6 once for each protected creature. This is the number of illusions surrounding its real mind for the duration. When a mental attack reaches the creature, roll a die with one result for each illusion and one for the real mind. If there are four illusions, roll 1d5: only one result strikes the real mind. An attack that selects an illusion fails against the creature.

The Psychic must concentrate for 1 tick per round to maintain and rebuild the illusions, but their number does not change.

Origin

Frolix created the spell inside Gérard Alois's Time Sphere. Vidock attacked each false mind from their shared white room while Frolix learned to replace it. The finished spell later protected Frolix, Aldor, and Charlie Stoneheart from Jerax.
