The drow world beneath, where Cerberus keeps what it cannot destroy
The country under the ground. The drow live here and practice Psychic magic. Their bodies, diet, senses, and mana recovery are adapted to it, though daylight causes them no physical or magical penalty. It remains their homeland rather than a refuge from the sun.
Cerberus treats it as the place things go when they cannot be killed. Lucius Stoneheart, enslaved and unable to stop his own Destruction Sphere from destroying and regenerating Gyllyn without end, used his last moment of control to throw him down here instead. Gérard Alois left a Time Sphere and a collection of family grimoires down here for four younger mages during the war.
It is also where the Academy's generation did its worst fighting. They came looking for their own research, found the beholder Qormuza, and were used by Cauchemar to put it to sleep so he could take it. Later Aldor turned one of its caverns into June pasture under a summer sun — scattered farmhouses, open country, an impossible sky — and killed the Aboleth Jerax inside it. The cavern of Zaran Mor came down on top of the fight. Sobiesansky survived it as green vapour under the rubble, long enough to order the verchoix worms to eat their hosts.
When Cauchemar's drow prepared a ritual beneath Cerberus, it was fought and broken here too.
