The furthest peninsula, and the smallest of three fronts
Founded as Cato in M490, this eastern peninsula was the last outer territory to join the Republic. It sent senators to Aventia but remained further from the Central Ark than Tyrena. In M1301 Archon placed it under Marcus Crassus. Centuries under the same immortal censor replaced the old name with his.
Being outclassed shaped it. Crassus's answer to standing behind Telus and Sylla was to build differently, and the answer was a good one.
The Great Barrier fell on the Crassus Peninsula. It was one front of three, and the smallest — which is why the dwarves chose it: their excavation was sensed through the ley lines there before anywhere else. Aldor's class sabotaged the barrier from inside, killed Flavius Marcus, the censor's general, and then Sobiesansky and the Aboleth. Frolix took the peninsula and held it.
