Negative Energy Burst
The dark mirror of Heal—it guts the living and mends the dead in the same breath
The necromancer conjures a dark orb and lets it burst. Negative energy floods the area, tearing at every living body inside it and pouring into every dead one.
It is built as the exact opposite of Heal and scales on the same curve. Living creatures take the damage; every undead in the radius recovers the same amount instead. There is no Save either way—only DR subtracts from the damage, and nothing at all reduces the healing (see 3).
| Spell level | Damage per CL | Radius |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1d10 | 10 ft |
| 3 | 1d10 | 20 ft |
| 5 | 2d10 | 40 ft |
| 7 | 4d10 | 60 ft |
| 9 | 8d10 | 80 ft |
| 10 | 16d10 | 160 ft |
This is the spell a necromancer casts into his own line. The horde stands back up while whatever it is fighting comes apart, and the caster chooses nothing: the burst does not discriminate, and a living ally standing among the dead is simply on the wrong side of it.
