Investiture of the Partage

Divine mana reshapes a body into one of Archon's warriors

Available Levels
8

Investiture of the Partage is a controlled, temporary form of the mutation caused by First Partage. Divine water enters the target, strengthens bone and muscle, replaces destroyed body parts, and wraps the body in nearly invisible liquid armor. The target keeps its mind, actions, spells, and equipment.

During the Investiture:

  • a target below Large size becomes Large. Worn equipment grows with it, and its weapons deal damage as the next size category;
  • it gains +16 or +50% Strength, whichever bonus is higher;
  • it gains temporary HP equal to its maximum HP. These are lost first and disappear when the spell ends;
  • it gains 32 DR. This divine DR does not stack with other magical DR: use the highest magical value, then add physical armor DR normally;
  • its weapon, natural, and unarmed attacks become magical and deal +50% damage;
  • a destroyed limb can be replaced with divine water. It functions as a real limb during the spell but disappears afterward without restoring the missing flesh;
  • without a weapon, the target can freely form a hardened-water melee weapon it knows how to wield. The weapon is magical, matches the target's new size, and disappears with the spell;
  • it can breathe underwater and walk across water without slowing.

Water is also the transformation's weakness. Lightning damage ignores the 32 DR granted by this spell and doubles after all other calculations. A powerful electrical attack can disperse a water limb until the beginning of the target's next turn.

Full-body transformations do not stack. Investiture of the Partage, Giant Form, Polymorph and Divine Right cannot alter the same body at once; the highest-level transformation suppresses the others. When the Investiture ends, the target returns to its previous size and body. Real wounds remain, but losing temporary HP deals no additional damage.
