Every corpse within 1 km per caster level reveals its direction and approximate distance to the motionless necromancer. A battlefield appears as a mass; a corpse beneath a floor as a single point.
By touching a corpse, the caster learns exactly how long it has been dead, to the hour. This helps determine whether Faint Current can still raise it.
The spell does not reveal identity, cause of death, or species.
