Elemental Affinity
Use a nearby element to accelerate Summon and Polymorph
Choose Fire, Water, Earth, or Air when learning this feat. When casting Summon or Polymorph for a creature of that element, a substantial nearby source reduces the casting time by 1 tick, to a minimum of 1 tick. Summon normally falls from 3 ticks to 2; Polymorph normally falls from 2 ticks to 1.
A candle or cup of water is not enough. An open fire, deep water, a mass of exposed earth or stone, or a strong current of air can serve as the catalyst. The GM decides whether the source is substantial for the creature being created. The element accelerates the spell but does not increase the creature's statistics.
Elemental Affinity can be learned more than once. Choose a different element each time.
