An obscure noble line of shapeshifters
House Luther is a minor noble magical family from the region of Vlad. Its name carries little influence in Cerberus, but its transformation magic is old, practical, and closely guarded. Even among allies, the Luthers do not discuss their family spells freely.
The house specializes in Polymorph, animal bodies, and potions of transformation. Valère Luther tried to turn that knowledge into a trade, seeking the Alidel family's help to reach clients wealthy enough to afford the expensive potions.
His children took a more direct path. Alice and Lambert entered the Academy, mastered several animal forms, and pursued rank fiercely enough to make the Luther name known. They had noble blood but little of the wealth enjoyed by their classmates; Alice lived beneath the Academy roof with her luggage stacked in a room too small to unpack it.
The next generation moved away from that social ambition. Garen uses the same tradition to isolate himself in nature, exploring through magic and animal transformation rather than salons or tournaments.
