Lambert Luther
Shapeshifter, duelist, and Alice's accomplice
Lambert Luther is Alice Luther's brother and fellow apprentice in Christophe Rolland's class. He shares her angular family features, her mastery of transformation, and her ambition to make the obscure Luther name matter among the sorcerers of Cerberus.
Lambert is less guarded than his sister. He spends magic on a joke, laughs at her vanity, and can tease her without dulling their loyalty. Beneath that ease, the two protect their family's spells carefully and agree that passing the Academy examination must come before every other ambition.
During the Joust, Lambert fought beside Alice and the Loubreton sisters. He cast Fireball and Feather Fall, then used Polymorph to become a snake and ambush Jean Morin. His bite carried a venom that attacked Dexterity and threatened complete paralysis. Back in human form, he drew a dagger and relied on the speed and agility gained through years of mastering animal bodies.
Gyllyn Bardlac survived the venom long enough to trip him. Jean's torrent then threw Lambert into a tree and triggered his emergency barrier.
