Character
Jérôme the Radiant
Inventor of light magic
A mage of rare genius, Jérôme cast Level 2 spells at seven years old. He invented his own form of magic based on light: Light Wolves, Light Bindings, a devastating attack, and his ultimate spell, Ignis Fatis.
He entered the tournament neither for money nor glory, but to test a theory: that he was the strongest mage in his cohort.
He unlocked a sealed grimoire for a rival, leaving tiny suns at the top of every page to spy on him. A great mage never neglects the dangers of divination. Jérôme later murdered the rival whose invention threatened him and disguised the killing as a laboratory accident.
An unusually keen nose and a divination exposed him. He fled, was caught, and died.
