Tempest Gale
A cutting wall of wind that sweeps a whole formation away
Tempest Gale releases a cutting mass of wind across a cone chosen within Medium range. Every creature and object in the cone is struck once, taking the listed physical damage as thousands of narrow currents tear across it.
The same wind can sweep creatures and loose objects in its direction. It can move anything no larger than the size listed in the table, up to the listed distance. Each target is moved once; the force does not accumulate when several parts of the cone cross it.
Movement is not automatic. The GM prescribes each target's chance to hold position, considering Strength, size, weight, footing, handholds and nearby cover. A Strength Check — 1d20 + STR + level is useful when physical resistance decides the result. Holding position prevents the movement but never reduces the damage.
A creature above the size limit takes full damage but remains in place. A target swept over an edge or into an obstacle suffers the ordinary consequences of that terrain.
