Restoration
Wash harmful conditions from the body and mind
Restoration washes harmful conditions from the body and mind. It can remove Stunned, Nauseated, Paralysis, Fear, fatigue, ability drain, and penalties to Saves, perception or movement. It restores no HP, regrows no missing body part and does not remove physical poison or disease.
When the spell resolves, choose any creatures within its aura. Compare the level of Restoration with the level of each harmful effect:
- If Restoration is no more than one level below the harmful effect, or is higher than it, the condition ends completely.
- If the harmful effect is two or more levels higher, reduce its remaining duration by 50%.
A weaker Restoration can reduce the same effect only once. Casting it repeatedly cannot continue halving that effect.
Restoration removes the harmful consequence, not necessarily the magic that created it. A poisonous cloud, hostile aura or sustained spell can apply the condition again after it is removed. Dispel Magic attacks the source itself instead.
At levels 5 and higher, the aura lasts for several ticks. It moves with the caster and cleanses chosen creatures once when it appears, then once at the beginning of each remaining tick. A newly applied condition can therefore be removed by a later pulse.
