Guided Past

Explores a place's past by guiding magic with a known fact

Available Levels
5

Every place touched by magic retains a trace of its past, from the moment magic first arrived there to the present. Guided Past lets a Wizard explore that trace by giving the spell a known fact to follow:

  • a person who was present;
  • an object that was there;
  • an event that occurred at a particular time.

The Wizard's Intelligence determines how precisely they can locate an event in time. While concentrating, they can continue exploring the past along the chosen fact.

An active illusion can deceive Guided Past when the fact leads the spell into the false scene. The mere presence of an illusion does not divert a search guided by something true.
