Acid Splash

Corrosive globules that leave the body open to what follows

Available Levels
1357910

Acid Splash conjures one or more corrosive globules. Each globule bursts across the listed radius, burning creatures and eating into exposed objects and equipment. The GM determines what remains usable after the acid strikes.

A creature caught in one or more globules from the same casting takes the listed damage once and rolls the weakening chance once. Overlapping bursts extend the spell's coverage; they never multiply its damage or its chance of Disadvantage.

After dealing damage, roll the listed chance separately for each creature. On a success, that creature has Disadvantage on its next Fortitude Save. The weakness disappears after that Save or at the end of the creature's next round, whichever comes first.

A shield, sealed armor or protection over the lungs prevents the weakness when it keeps the acid from touching or entering the body. If a creature is exposed only through the air, it takes half damage and the chance of Disadvantage is halved.

The caster may leave a puddle of acid at a globule's point of impact for 1 round per caster level. A globule striking a body of water of comparable size contaminates it instead; creatures swimming in that water take half the spell's damage and roll half the listed chance of Disadvantage.

Acid Splash can provide the acid behind Elemental Wall.
