Feat

Walking Meditation

The hour of calm no longer has to be an hour of stopping

A Monk recovers Ki by meditating an hour a day, and an adventure rarely offers an hour of anything.

With this feat the Monk meditates during active rest—on the march, on watch, guarding a door, riding in a cart. The hour still restores 50% of maximum Ki at each power level, and the daily ceiling of 50% is unchanged. What disappears is the requirement to stop and be left alone for it.

Without this feat, a Monk denied his hour falls back on the implant's own conversion rate: 5% per hour of true rest, meaning ten hours of sleep to reach the same ceiling one hour of meditation reaches (see 8). Ten hours is what a campaign never gives.

This feat is the difference between a Monk who works and a Monk who is always empty.
