Feat

Icebound Dead

Animates corpses preserved in a white dragon's ice

A White Dragon can drive a corpse through the same Psychic cold that froze it. This is necromancy, not domination: the feat never takes control of a living mind, allows no Will Save, and cannot be used until the victim is dead.

Creating an Icebound Dead

The dragon spends 1 Spell Action while it can see a corpse frozen solid by its own breath. The corpse rises as an undead under the dragon's control. It retains its anatomy, physical movement, physical attacks, and physical traits, but returns with 50% of its former maximum HP. It has no mind, casts no spells, and has 0 Spell Actions.

The body obeys simple orders. It can hunt, guard, carry, follow, or attack a designated target, but it cannot interpret a plan that would have required its former memories or judgment. Animating the corpse restores no soul and preserves no consciousness.

Control

The dragon can control a number of Icebound Dead equal to CL × Intelligence modifier. Creating one beyond that limit makes the oldest body inert. The dragon can change an order by voice while the undead can hear it or through Psychic communication while it remains within Close range.

An Icebound Dead remains animated only while its creator exists as the same White Dragon. If a summon disappears, a Polymorph ends, or the dragon dies, every body it animated immediately becomes an inert frozen corpse. Returning to White Dragon form does not restore them automatically; each corpse must be animated again. A natural White Dragon therefore sustains its servants without a duration limit.

Ordinary cold preserves the bodies but does not animate them. Dispel Magic can end the Psychic current in one Icebound Dead normally. Destroying or thawing the corpse beyond use ends the effect permanently.
