Feat
Basic Fighting Style
Turns ordinary class training into reliable weapon damage
Calculate the attack normally using the higher of STR or DEX, then add the damage bonus for the character's class. The bonus applies to every weapon and unarmed attack. This bonus represents years of ordinary practice rather than a unique named technique. It applies to melee and ranged weapons, including firearms, but never to spells or other magical effects.
| Grade | Classes | Level 1 | Level 3 | Level 5 | Level 7 | Level 9 | Level 10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| First | Fighter, Barbarian, Ranger | +2 | +4 | +8 | +16 | +32 | +64 |
| Second | Monk of Kaz'Nakaram, Rogue | +2 | +3 | +6 | +12 | +24 | +48 |
| Third | Cleric of Archon, Lazy Wizard | +1 | +2 | +4 | +8 | +16 | +32 |
| Fourth | Wizard, Psychic | +1 | +2 | +3 | +6 | +12 | +24 |
Each value lasts until the next threshold.
A named fighting style with its own level-based fixed damage bonus replaces Basic Fighting Style. The two bonuses never stack: use the higher one. Osseur's Fighting Style follows the First grade as Osseur's personal expression of Barbarian training.
