Lightning Flight

Lightning Flight transforms the caster into a living arc and hurls them across great distances. Their body remains visible inside the discharge. They gain the Fly Speed in the table and require no concentration to move.

Traveling at full Speed requires a straight path during that tick. The caster may turn sharply, hover, reverse direction, or maneuver precisely at 25% of that Speed.

Electrical Wake

A creature or object takes the effects of Lightning Bolt at the same spell level the first time the discharge reaches it during this casting. Copy Lightning Bolt's listed damage and chance that the target's next action fails, but not its number of bolts, line dimensions, or overlapping damage. Lightning Flight instead affects everything within its listed radius as the caster moves. Allies are affected normally.

A target can suffer this wake only once per casting, even if the caster circles back or remains beside it. Cover, a Barrier, lightning resistance, immunity, and DR apply as they do against Lightning Bolt.

Too Fast to Track

During a tick in which the caster travels at full Speed, ordinary projectiles cannot target them. A projectile can still be fired across a known path or toward the caster's destination when the fiction permits it, at the GM's discretion. Spells and area effects remain valid normally. At maneuvering Speed, the caster can be targeted normally.

Final Charge

After traveling at least their full Lightning Flight Speed in a straight line during the tick, the caster may finish that movement with one physical attack. The attack can be dodged or parried normally. On a hit, it is automatically a critical hit that deals double the attack's total damage, regardless of the weapon's normal critical multiplier.

After the attack resolves, Lightning Flight ends whether the attack landed or not. Without another source of flight, an unsupported caster then falls normally.
