Greater Negotiation protects two creatures while they negotiate. The spell only answers a mage who genuinely believes in peaceful negotiation; without that conviction, the casting fails.
When the spell takes hold, a powerful barrier protects both participants and prevents them from attacking one another until their negotiation ends.
