Truth hides between contradictory accounts. Between Two Truths uses two conflicting stories to guide magic through the past and uncover what really happened.
The spell always finds the truth, but only when the two accounts genuinely contradict one another.
Reach into the Past
Magic follows the accounts back only so far. Past that horizon the spell finds nothing, and says so rather than guessing.
