Master Alchemist's Kit
Instruments precise enough not to waste the irreplaceable
The master kit replaces rough glassware with graduated vials, a precision scale, silver needles, specialized filters, and a finely adjustable burner. It fits in a chest that one person can carry but cannot be used properly while running, riding, or exposed to rain.
Like any kit, it provides no automatic modifier. Its precision is a favorable circumstance when the GM sets the difficulty of a delicate extraction, an exceptionally rare poison, or a preparation whose yield matters. It can make work possible that an ordinary kit could not support, but it replaces neither the recipe, ingredient, nor time.
It also contains equipment for temporarily isolating an organ, plant, or fragile sample. The GM may rule that a properly transported ingredient remains fresh longer. Replacing its specialized consumables generally costs 25 gp.
