Feat
Sneak Attack
Finds the opening armor cannot protect
Once per tick, the character can turn an attack into a Sneak Attack when at least one condition applies:
- the target does not perceive the character or expect the attack;
- the character attacks from behind;
- the target is Grappled or Immobilized;
- a feat or effect explicitly creates an opening for Sneak Attack.
An attack gaining an automatic critical hit through hiding always meets the first condition. Attacking from behind, attacking a grappled target, or using another opening permits Sneak Attack but does not itself grant an automatic critical hit or prevent dodging and parrying.
Sneak Attack targets joints, gaps, and weak points. It ignores the listed percentage or fixed amount, whichever removes more DR. Apply the percentage to final DR, round down, then compare it with the fixed amount. Penetration cannot exceed the target's total DR.
| Level | DR ignored |
|---|---|
| 1 | 20% or 5 |
| 3 | 40% or 10 |
| 5 | 60% or 20 |
| 7 | 80% or 40 |
| 9 | 100% or 80 |
Only one attack per tick gains this penetration, even when an action contains several strikes.
