Feat

Personal Enchantment

Sustains enchanted objects through the caster's own reserve

Instead of binding an Arcane or Divine enchantment permanently with gold, the character may create a mana-bound enchantment sustained by their own spell-slot reserve. The enchantment still requires its normal ritual, spells, materials, time, and prescribed chance roll; this feat replaces only the gold required for permanence.

The character can maintain up to two enchanted objects this way. Each object reserves one spell slot of the enchantment's level or higher. That slot lowers the character's maximum usable slots at its level and cannot be spent or recovered while the enchantment remains maintained.

A mana-bound enchantment has no distance limit, but it remains dependent on its creator. It ends if the character releases it or dies, and its reserved slot then becomes available for recovery normally. The enchantment can still be disrupted or permanently destroyed under the ordinary enchantment rules.
