Chicken

A chicken is a barnyard bird unable to fly farther than a stone's throw or hold one thought for more than a second. In Brazzant, however, it stands at the center of the culture. Barbarians eat it, wager it, and swear by it. One who abstains from chicken for a month enters the legend of the clan.

This is not a Polymorph or Summon template. It is an ordinary creature with a fixed stat block.

Barnyard Panic A frightened chicken runs in a random direction while shrieking and frightens every nearby chicken. A generous GM grants a favorable rating to a player who uses this chaos as a diversion.

Target of a Simple Command The chicken is the target of the Poulet Time feat. Once commanded, it follows that order for the full duration, and no one—not even Osseur—can stop it. A commanded chicken does not flee. It charges, crosses, and dies if necessary.

Market Value 3 cp for a live chicken, 1 sp cooked at an inn. For comparison, a day laborer earns 2 gp per day.
